Dragon Crisis – hiding lost treasure, or should this go up in flames?

“I love, love, love…………………….[repeat multiple times]…………………….. love you!”
The thing I find with Dragon Crisis is that it’s pretty unremarkable bar the fact that it has a some noteable names in the seiyuu industry. It’s not that I find it bad. I just see no reason why I should be watching this >_>
Plot summary from MyAnimeList: “A normal high school boy Kisaragi Ryuji’s peaceful life is turned into an adventure by the return of his second cousin Eriko. Ryuji and Eriko seize a relic box from a black broker. In the box, they find a red dragon girl Rose. In order to protect Rose from the black organization, Ryuji decides to fight using his power as a relic handler.”
The plot is hardly captivating to say the least, and the characters don’t help. I find Rose’s character annoying, and Ryuji’s even more irritating with the usual switching in and out of wimpy and heroic personalities. I found their pairing up pretty forced and unnatural.
Even the fanservice isn’t special, when compared to other shows this season such as Kore wa Zombie Desuka and Infinite Stratos (let alone Freezing and Rio – Rainbow Gate).
On the other hand the soundtrack and animation is solid where it has to be. Onyx’s moves were pretty nice to watch, but the fight was rather uninspiring, which is a shame, but this is no Darker Than Black >_>.
Even right now I’m struggling to write something more about Dragon Crisis, because I just find it so bland. Sound off your opinions in the comments below.
OP: pretty nice to watch. OK tune.
ED: service shots + chibi later on…. tune is cutesy but overall this ED is very forgettable
