Durarara!! – 06

Katztano was a magician to Togusa, since he always acquired the seat closest to his goddess, which was hard to obtain. We must rescue Katztano by all means, for Togusa’s sake.

Our favourite Gang of Four Dollars

Seriously, what a hilarious episode. This series is capable of so much, from teenage angst and suicidal notions, to comedic failed kidnappings and the almost religious following of some Japanese idols. Durarara!! is by far the best series this season and has lived to its hype.

"I told you: I wanted the pizza, not the lasagne"

This week we follow the kidnapping of Katzano and his subsequent rescue by the Gang of Four: Kyohei, Erica, Saburou and Walker. We get a little more info on the kidnappings alluded to and portrayed in the second episode. We also get a basic idea of how the Dollars, a community of gangs, is structured.

Japan's idols...

This isn't being a fanboy. This is just plain sick.

We also got introduced to Seiji’s sister Namie, who’s the head of a shifty pharmaceutical company performing experiments on ‘unwanted’ humans. It’s also suggested that she’s romantically interested in her own brother~~~ As usual DRRR!! keeps its habit of slowly building up the questions asked. I’m expecting a huge finish, especially with its hefty 24-or-so episodes. Keep up the good work Takahiro. By the way bonus points for the surprisingly appropriate use of Nessum Dorma.

Ignorance is bliss~

Appropriate use of music in this ep was def a plus. Thought it was on the whole an interesting ep. Comedy in the ep was great as well.
