Idiots are like scissors – it’s all about how you use them.

Yes, that is a rolling pencil.

Woohoo, another 2 episodes into this series, and I’m running out of things to write about. These two episodes introduced Hazuki, Minami’s little sister, and the mysterious bracelet that allows the wearer to summon their chibi being.

Someone evidently gave him the cold shoulder...

To be honest, episode 4 was a bit of a flop. It lacked a strong presence of Voyeur and Hideyoshi, and this was clearly felt. Baka just ain’t that funny when you focus entirely on the shallow high school romance component. While there were some genuinely humourous sequences, such as Yoshii’s ‘trial’, episode 4 remained far duller than the previous 3 episodes.

"WHAT?! EB ran out of FFXIII?!"

Episode 5 was better value in terms of entertainment. It had fantastic references to TTGL and Gundam Seed, and the animating work in this episode was great to watch.

Black KKK - clearly they do things differently.

Baka started off with great humour, energy, and a ridiculous concept. However it is clear that in-jokes are getting old and repetitive. The main characters are also pretty damn shallow (as expected). Nevertheless it’s a decent watch so far, and the producers have made a very sound decision in only making this series only 13 episodes long. Let’s see how this series ends…

In anime, the flatter your chest is, the more you stand out.
